This application method greatly improves the safety of gas use and reduces fires and explosions caused by gas leaks.

 

Besides being used as a gas warning agent, ethanethiol also has wide applications in organic synthesis and pesticide manufacturing. In organic synthesis, ethanethiol can serve as an important intermediate, participating in various chemical reactions to synthesize organic compounds with specific functions. In pesticide manufacturing, certain derivatives of ethanethiol possess insecticidal and fungicidal biological activities and are widely used for the control of agricultural pests.
