Gas Cylinder Transportation:
1.Gas cylinders should be handled using specialized lifting frames or handcarts.
2.Cylinder caps should be tightened before transportation.Handle with care, avoiding throwing, sliding,or impact.
3.When transporting gas cylinders by truck, cylinders must not be placed longitudinally in the truck bed;they should be placed laterally and securely.Oxygen cylinders should be laid horizontally with the head facing one side and firmly supported;the loading height should not exceed the height of the truck bed.Acetylene cylinders should be placed upright, and the truck bed height should not be less than 2/3 of the cylinder height.Personnel escorting the gas cylinders should sit in the driver's cab,not in the truck bed.
4.Oxygen and acetylene cylinders must not be transported together.Flammable materials, grease, and oily items must not be transported with oxygen cylinders in the same vehicle.
5.Smoking and open flames are prohibited on the vehicle.Vehicles transporting acetylene cylinders should be equipped with appropriate fire extinguishers.
Gas Cylinder Storage and Use:
1.Gas cylinder storage should comply with relevant national regulations.
2.Gas cylinders should be stored in well-ventilated areas, away from heat sources and direct sunlight.
3.Open flames and smoking are prohibited within 10 meters of the storage location.Gas cylinders must not be stored with flammable or explosive materials.
4.Gas cylinders must not be stored with cylinders containing gases that, when mixed, could cause combustion or explosion.
5.Acetylene cylinders should be stored upright with measures in place to prevent tipping.
6.Acetylene cylinders must not be placed in areas with radioactive radiation or on insulating materials such as rubber.
7.Gas cylinders must not come into contact with live electrical objects.Oxygen cylinders must not be contaminated with grease.
8.When oxygen cylinders are laid horizontally, they should not be stacked more than five layers high.Studs should be erected on both sides. When placed vertically, they should be secured with supports.
9.Gas cylinders must be inspected according to relevant national regulations.Expired or uninspected cylinders must not be used.
10.All types of gas cylinders must not be used without a pressure regulator.Unqualified pressure regulators must not be used.
11.Gas cylinder valves and pipe joints must be leak-free.12.Oxygen cylinders and acetylene cylinders in use should be regularly inspected for wear and corrosion.Any damaged cylinders should be replaced immediately.
13.Oxygen and acetylene cylinders in use should be placed vertically and secured. The distance between oxygen and acetylene cylinders should not be less than 5 meters.
14.The operating pressure of acetylene cylinders should not exceed 0.147 MPa,and the gas flow rate per cylinder should not exceed 1.5 m³/h to 2 m³/h.
15.Cylinder valves should be opened slowly. When opening an acetylene cylinder, stand to the side and slightly behind the valve.
16.Acetylene cylinders at the construction site should be equipped with backfire prevention devices.
17.Cylinders should be fitted with two vibration damping rings.
18.When cylinder valves are frozen,do not use fire to thaw them.Cover them with a cotton cloth soaked in 40°C hot water to allow them to thaw slowly.
19.The gas in the cylinders should not be completely used up.Oxygen cylinders should retain a residual pressure of 0.2 MPa;acetylene cylinders should retain a residual pressure not less than that specified in Table 6.Used gas cylinders should have their valves closed and be labeled"empty".
